Emergency First Aid at Work

Due to changes by the HSE we are now offering certified emergency first aid at work training by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health which is approved by the HSE. This course is ideal for workplaces that present few health and safety risks and small groups of workers who work on construction sites.

Who should attend?

Nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid for the first time or as a refresher.

The HSE strongly recommends that all first aiders undertake an annual refresher course, and candidates must re-qualify every three years.

What you will learn?

Basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations.

Course content

  • Health and safety (first aid) regulations
  • Managing an incident
  • The priorities of first aid
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty
  • Resuscitation
  • Shock
  • Choking
  • Seizures
  • Bleeding
  • Common workplace injuries.

One day.

Assessment and certification

Continuous assessment by trainer plus an examination consisting of 15 multiple choice questions
